What was the inspiration behind the Terra Losa Collection?
"Inspired by Japanese pottery, this space marries tone, texture and detail to create something special out of something small.
SHIBUI: adjective - Japanese. A particular aesthetic of simple and modest beauty, but considers fine details such as textures that balance simplicity with complexity."

Tell us a little bit more about the materials you selected. What do you love about them?
"I was drawn to warm neutral tones and textures that felt rich with depth but were simple in nature. The tonal grasscloth used for the walls and ceiling was inspired by the depth of Japanese rice paper, while the pattern created by the tile was inspired by the geometry of a shoji screen. I love how the small scale of each material creates depth, but there’s really not much going on in here at all."

Share a bit of your process for creating the Terra Losa Collection.
"The process started with a vision for simplicity. I then researched materials that would support with the vision, and as I came across the ones that “felt right” I moved to hand sketches to see how it could all work together.
I knew the best way to marry simplicity with complexity with a toned down color palette was to incorporate unconventional details. Rather than using standard material applications such accent walls or chair rails, I used unexpected break-lines and material placement to make the space feel more designed."
